The creepier the better.
If Mjolnir is the most powerful weapon Asgard has, why does Odin use Gungnir?
>>81994712
Because he is not worthy
>>81994784
But it's Odin's magic, which means he can overrule that shit whenever he wants, like he always does when Thor needs a plot point for his comic.
>>81994809
wasnt that mjolnir broken when Thor fought Bor like 7 years ago, then repaired using Thor's own magic?
odin no longer has any power over it
>DIPPER, YOU CAME BACK

http://www.cosmicbooknews.com/content/zack-snyder-talks-forming-justice-league-jabs-captain-america-hulk-marvel
>"Pretty early on I had this idea that I wanted [Superman's death] to happen. I really felt like if we were going to move forward with the Justice League, that Batman needed to put it together, and you couldn't have this... I mean Superman is Superman," Snyder said. "If he's around, he's going to be put in charge because he's Superman. And so I really felt we need to - in a cool way - create a mechanism that could get him out of the way. And I didn't want to [rolls eyes] freeze him on ice and shoot him into space. I thought that was boring [laughs]."
>Snyder continues with mention of all the deaths in Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman (that some fans complained about), seemingly taking another swipe at Marvel by saying, "Because I really feel like consequences are important in super hero movies. Otherwise, they are slightly irresponsible, and we're just saying 'blow everything up and no one gets hurt, it's awesome,' and I just felt like no, no that's not cool..."

Well he's not wrong...
>>81994508
the gift that keeps on giving
>>81994508
He's not wrong though about that last part.
I know this is old news, but I only just saw it after avoiding all the info I possibly could. I assume everyone here agrees with me on my thoughts below, but I might be wrong- I don't know. This is the thoughts of a low level cape fan.
I think Affleck does a great job as Batman, and I think all the tech and the look if it all is also very Batman. In that same vein, whoever played Alfred, while physically different, is spot on character-wise as far as I'm concerned. Great job with all that.
Why does Batman kill people? He has, quite literally, two rules. No guns, and no killing. I guess you could say that he's so skilled that he makes sure the bullets hit non-vital areas? And that he just hadn't heard about his brand being a death sentence? But that seems unlikely considering he's supposed to be really smart and whatnot.
Didn't expect to see Flash like that. Really neat. Didn't think that would be their overarching plot they'd be going for. Confused as to why it was a dream sequence though? And what was up with the bug stuff? What, can he make Bruce see the future now? and he has Dream powers or something?
I don't want to pretend to be an expert on Ma Kent but it pissed me off when she said he doesn't owe the world anything. Seems in my admittedly limited opinion that all she and Pa Kent ever taught Clark was about doing the right thing, even when it's hard, and all that jazz.
I really really really really really REALLY wish Wonder Woman looked amazonian or at the very least even remotely muscular.
I always thought Lex Luthor was supposed to be charming- so incredibly smooth and manipulative that he could successfully win a presidential campaign. AKA, not a crazy nutter who can't keep it together throughout a short conversation.
I still really don't enjoy all the Superman worship and all this god talk, and acting like he thinks he's better or above anyone, or that he's an alien- for christ's sake he grew up in kansas.
Anyway. That's it.

Snyder wants to be a deeper director and writer then he actually is and so throws a lot of themes together and hopes they just sort of mix on their own.
BvS didn't feel like an actual full script to me, it felt like parts of multiple scripts hashed together into one whole film without trying to make underlying themes between them link up or anything between them make much sense.
A lot of the lines and dialogue were cool sounding but weirdly placed and sounded like they said purely to sound cool (or show up in a trailer) rather then make sense or organically fit into narrative or existing dialogues well.
Oh also the whole "this means something" "It did on my world"
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUCKKKKK YYYYYOOOOoooOoooOUUUUUUUUU. Your world is EARTH. You were raised on EARTH by HUMANS. You are from KANSAS. Stop acting like you're some macho super cool alien guy who doesn't "get" humanity because you talked to the guy from Gladiator for like ten minutes.
>>81994510
I thought this exact thing when I heard the "do you bleed" bit. Same thing with like half of Lex's lines.
>>81994534
I don't mean to keep adding adendums, but I keep remembering stuff:
I did really like when Bruce actually did detective work and also invented stuff.
What exactly is this "crisis" I always hear about?
>>81994035
Don't worry, they already had the final one.
>>81994059
They can still have an epilouge crisis.
DC always finds a way
>>81994035
It was hyper
Are the X-Men and Hulk the most anti-authority superheroes?
I mean even people who are hypothetical renegade loose canons like Hawkeye and Guy Gardner are ultimately of towing the line
>>81993795
Hulk isn't anti-authority, he just wants to be left alone but has worked for organizations before.
Same goes for Wolverine, he may come off as an ass but he doesn't have a problem working with teams or organizations.
>>81993795
Depends what you mean by authority. A character like the Punisher doesn't answer to governement authorities basically ever, but he does try to go along with their rules and even uses those to justify his choices (he kills people who are seen as criminals by law). Although I guess whether he's heroic is debatable.
There really aren't that many revolutionary heroes in capes because the status quo needs to be maintained somehow.
>>81993835
>he doesn't have a problem working with teams or organizations.
Eh, in the end he proves useful but he always butts heads with tons of people, especially leaders.
>There are people on /co/ who aren't hype that Gerard Way is writing for DC's Young Animal imprint just because he was in a band that it was cool to hate a while back
>Not liking his Spiderverse issue
I hated it until I read it, it was fucking good. I'd give him another shot at something.
>>81994150
Read Umbrella Academy anon. It's great and very heavily influenced by Morrison's Doom Patrol run, which is what makes me think he'll be great at actually writing Doom Patrol itself
>>81993758
>because he was in a band
his band was pretty big
still is even if it doesn't exist anymore
WHY THE FUCK IS HE WRITING COMICS?
Remember when he'd be waiting in the x-mansions science lab? Maybe upside down hanging from the ceiling by his feet and reading the works of Darwin or Shakespeare or something.
He'd have a bit of silly wisdom, or genuine advice, or help to be given for some scientific problem. He'd show his beastial side when the shit got thick but was otherwise a decent if not an occasionally surly man.
And then someone decided (i'm not sure exactly when) that he was the biggest asshole in the universe. He began jacking off into the space-time continuum while doing shit as fucked up as his apocalyptic 'dark beast' counterpart. And in fact being given shit for possibly becoming dark beast. He dragged a bunch of younger versions of the x-men (including himself) to the present just to inflict them upon cyclops in petty revenge. He became bitter, cruel, cold toward his friends, and sometimes downright stupid.
To the point where the x-men had to hold a goddamn intervention in order to confront him about being such a piece of shit.
And now hes not even on any x-team. Nah, hes hanging out with the inhumans as a distant third wheel to cure the m-pox. A disease that has rendered mutants sterile and is essentially destroying their race.
Beast yanked x-men from the past ripping apart the timeline and stranding them out of their time to torture cyclops for his actions that resulted inthe death of professor xavier...but is perfectly cool working with Blackbolt, the guy who unleashed the terrigen mists all over the world that are now resulting in the death of all mutantkind.
Why the fuck did marvel suddenly decide it hates Beast so much?
>>81993320
Eh, there have been hints for a long time, what with his alternate versions often being evil scientists, notably his AoA version you brought up. You can bet that's where they got the idea/justification from.
Still yeah I miss old Beast.
I think it's more of a company-wide issue sadly. I mean the number of characters who start acting like assholes for no reason besides the writer not liking them is staggering. Even characters with huge fanbases aren't safe (although they have more chance of the bullshit being ultimately retconned), and Beast was never that.
>>81993434
As Marvel keeps forcing events on its franchises, more and more characters will act out of character and become unlikable. And since all these events end with a different status quo, they actually have to stick with the shitty new personality.
>>81993582
Yeah that's probably part of the problem, since most events nowadays include making one or more supposedly good guys act like assholes to drive the plot.
I'm not going to pretend they're actually trying, but even if they were, it can't be easy to both maintain the status quo that brought people over in the first place and change it enough that people don't get bored.
Does anyone else really miss the classic Harley design?
>>81993066
It's the only one I like. But the art style is a big part of it too.
>>81993083
Timm had a lot to do with it. Honestly, her 'jester' outfit only really worked in his style, and maybe Ross'.
>innocuous /co/ related image
>cropped
Why do I have the feeling that this is another barneyfag thread in disguise?
>it's a fishbowl episode
>>81992967
A what now?
>>81992981
Same thing as a bottle episode.
>>81993018
Yeah still don't know what you're talking about.
How and why are there any normal criminals in worlds crawling with superheroes?
Superheroes are not omnipresent. Even KC Flash can only be everywhere at once in a single city.
>>81992859
Why are there wars when countries that can bomb an army to dust exist?
>>81992859
Because most citys only get one hero.
Gotham gets a pass despite all its hero's because it's a particuraly shitty place.
Who will win
Klaus
The thing about Reigns is that nobody really hates him based on his ability, most of his hate's based on his position in the company and based on recent booking it's looking like his character's on track for a major change. FNAF has a huge amount of genuine love and support. NuPuff's gonna be hated until it dies.
I don't even know who/what Steve and Francine are supposed to be.
Redpill me on the speedforce
It's the most retarded thing that ever existed in fiction.
It's the reason Flash isn't an interesting or compelling character
It's the flight plan I just filed with the agency
