They could do that but its dumb clogs up the board it maybe gets one or two posts because most anons realize that its pointless if there is a general.
/cm/ moves slow so having a thread for a specific character instead of an entire series rarely gets much traction especially so if the series they are from already has a thread.
also iirc ive seen repeat/specific character threads that have generals get deleted anyway.

Jojo is a very popular series it would definitely not been "lost"
Also do you think every drawfag should have their own drawthread for whatever their pet series is so they don't have to go through the extreme burden that is scroll past things that don't interest them/ ask for requests for thing they like?

If it gets deleted, then that's how it is, really. If it dies from slow traffic that's fine, it's the natural order. I was just wanting some drawing prompts. Also, there wasn't a single Jojo related request in the current draw thread, but as soon as I made a thread specifically for it, I got requests. And yeah, people that are nice enough to do free art by request can have their own drawthreads if they like, it's different than regular character-specific boards in that someone's providing a service to the artistic community. And you trying to make such points only keeps the thread alive, so...

and If you just posted your art in the drawthread and said "Taking Jojo requests" you would have gotten the same or more amount of responses and we wouldn't have two threads
or you could have asked for jojo requests on the /a/ jojo general or the /cm/ general or the /a/ drawthread

personal drawthreads like this have poped up in the past and they do a handful of request leave and then thirsty idiots keep bumping the thead months later so it never fucking dies
