I know this is a fanfic thread but there's a nice oneshot manga by Tagura Tohru called Koi Monogatari. Despite it's name, it's mostly about a closeted dude becoming friends with a straight dude who finds out he's gay. Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but still worth the read, in my opinion.
