Yeah, DMMD is texttexttexttexttext. It's a VN. In contrast, if you want an eroge, check out Hadaka Shitsuji or something. If you want a NitroChiral work, Sweet Pool is less long, I think? Hell, I think that that Togainu no Chi is less long than DMMD. I think the length is what makes people really bond with the characters though, and thus want to make fanwork for them.
Oh, and if it makes you feel better, I also got the same ending as you the first time around.
