In about 6 hours I have a grill coming over for our second date and I am cooking beef ragout with hand-made pasta with chocolate orange mousse for dessert.

It matters more how you act and behave on your date. Kinda sounds yuppy and contrived. That shit won't impress a girl. I'd of offered her to buy some drinks and then cook for me, or tell her I'm going somewhere and she can tag along and ill buy her a meal.
