Milfag here. What is the best way to eat cheap/healthy, with the only kitchen appliances available to me being a microwave and minifridge. Galley food sucks.

Burnt or undercooked everything. It's like eating rubber. You can use a "potato wedge" as a shiv. Breakfast is decent tho.
you can use a little bit of water in the bottom of a plastic dish with any vegetable to steam cook with a microwave
you can also mix some canned foods together in a glass bowl and make a casserole
a bag of gummi bears turns out nicely after only @ 35 - 45 seconds on the highest setting
stack and layer crackers from the kitchen with ketchup from packets and some butter packets and some salt and pepper packets then microwave like a lasagna type of thing

Buy a hot plate. You can microwave rice/steam veggies in microwave and cook your protein on the hot plate. A small rice cooker is also a good idea.
Just make sure you clean up and lock it in your locker before you leave?

You can also buy a rice cooker with a steaming tray. Make your rice + steam your chicken in one dish and then steam a pack of frozen steamable veggies.

Assuming that you live in a barracks, buy yourself a slow cooker.
Prep everything the night before, throw it in when you get up for PT. Delicious meal waiting for you when you get off work.

also depends on where you live, esp, if you live on a base, the gallery food can be fucking amazing and costs literally next to nothing
