Avocados were on sale recently and I bought a couple of them. I was thinking of having them or toast, or in a chicken salad. You guys have any favorite recipes for these delicious fuckers?

Avocados are versatile as fuck, and can go with loads of different things.
On the other hand, I always find it silly when someone has an exact recipe for a dish featuring avocados, like a recipe for guacamole with all the seasonings precisely measured out. Pretty much every avocado tastes different and requires more or less seasoning, the same way that a chili pepper can vary widely in heat.

Haven't actually gotten round to it so it's more like a vague bunch of recollections of this one salad discontinued at a cafe I like. Misc greens, cherry tomatoes, sliced chicken breast, simple vinaigrette, sliced avocado, topped with dukkah and served with a bit of brie on toast.

Get a bone-in ribeye, stuff it with ginger and black jellybeans, marinated in a lemon juice / milk mix overnight
Cook rare, serve with a Cobb salad that has avacado

One of my staple foods is an avocado-cilantro based dip/sauce. Refreshing and can be adjusted with citrus/garlic/whatever to work well in tons of different applications.

you can make a nice soup if you blend with some mushroom stock
I love avocados but I'll admit I'm not adventurous or creative with them at all. I just smash them, season them and spread it on toast. Great snack or light lunch.
