Sourdough like pic related, or dutch crunch.

I like dark German rye.
A fresh baguette for under a dollar from the best boulangerie in small town France.
Nobody ever believes me, but there's literally nothing better. When I spent time in France I could honestly eat a baguette with Dijon mustard, cornichons, and some cured meat/pate for every single meal.
There's a lot I don't like about French culture, but I will adamantly defend them for making the best bread in the world. Foie gras and their cheese doesn't hurt either.
all of it

Not that I've ever been to France but this.
I used to live in a city with Euro style bakeries that'd bake fresh, on site every day and there was nothing better. Now I live in a country town and while it comes from a supermarket and I have to buy bread every second day, it tastes fucking delicious.
Czech-style rye-wheat sourdough with caraway seeds

>all small town french are really just american lumbersexual hipsters
I guess I must be a hipster, too, since I've been eating Nutella my entire life because it's been available in my country since its inception.

Just eat cake if that's what you really want.
a sourdough baguette
Anything rye and part rye, but also flat ciabatta because of their rough texture.

This is nice. My favorite bread to bake is the no knead popularized by Jim Leahy, crusty, slightly chewy, long ferment so it tastes good.
