I picked up one of these indoor grills, what are the chances of my house burning down?

Zero, unless you're some kind of klutz. You'd know better than we would.

Nope

it's a fucking electric element. worse than useless. at least get a portable propane grill if you're too afraid to use coal indoors.

Its not that im afraid, its that i got this for $3 and thats all i can really afford.

no, op said they got it for 3 dollars

It works good for hot plate & skiyaki type dishes, I have one similar for that. If youre thinking of grilling on it you still have to deal with the smoke and fumes. Or do it on the balcony outside. For outside I have this, work good for skewers, kebabs, vegetables. see picture

it says its smokeless. i dont know how much i believe that though.

rip out the element, spend another $3 on a bag of coal.
>tfw the only type of grill allowed in my condo balcony are electric ones
REEEEEE

theres a slick coating on the element that makes the dribble sizzle off. theres still a bit of smoke that comes off. A fan near a window may help. or do it on the stove and turn on the exaust. lol

It's not going to work great as a grill, you need to get a lid on it to take advantage of the oven affect

These also work well enclosed for a wet smoker.
