I've had the tail a few times. They deep fried it and it was ok. It's very lean, so it gets tough and dry easily. It's not very interesting. I would be more curious to try the camel.

Gave my cat some wet food that had gator as main ingredient - he hissed at food bowl and ran away with his tail puffed up. Smelled awful, would not like to try myself.

Gator is like a weird cross between chicken and fish, it is a very unique but very tasty meal that everyone should try at least once. When I tasted it I had gator burgers with no condiments or salad, was not dry at all and left me very confused about the flavor.

It's fucking delicious if you cook it right but it's easy to fuck it up and end up with shoe leather instead of moist, juicy meat. Deep fried alligator tail is great.
