You can pick up a freshly baked hot pizza at Walmart for just 5 dollars.

Comes in 2 varieties; Pepperoni and Deluxe Meat.

Pepperoni:
-a large pizza with a generous amount of pepperoni slices

Deluxe Meat:
-a large pizza loaded with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and beef

Smithfield bacon is almost always a dollar a pound cheaper at Walmart. Also large bags of cat food, hand soap and dozens of other things will save me money by buying it there.

I could go to Giant, Safeway, Shop Rite, Wegmans, Whole Foods, Food Lion(lol), Wise Market or Harris Teeter, all within 20 minutes if I wanted to. Walmart is just cheaper on certain things. Just like Wegmans has the best prices on milk, orange juice, butter, eggs, canned cat food, paper towels and lots of other things.
>>
>>7581046
Not quite. I don't believe the organic or GMO lies. But I don't eat much cheap mass market food, and I'm not a fan of corn derivatives being in everything. So I end up inadvertently avoiding GMO food for the most part not because I think it's bad for you, but because I steer away from cheap, low quality food products.

Yes they do have velveta and spam at Walmart, but they also have great produce and fresh meats.

They have everything even live lobsters.

I try to avoid supermarkets in general, because most of what's for sale there is garbage. I can't imagine anything that would get me into a Walmart. I've been to three in my life and they were awful places. Cheap consumer goods are one thing, but the idea of buying food from them is more than I can handle.
>>

The heart goes out. A big part of the reason I put up with the indignities of living in an urban environment is so I can get good food at specialty markets for relatively reasonable prices. There are a lot of downsides to it (my apartment is probably the size of your living room and dining room put together), but an advantage is rarely even having to shop at the supermarket, let alone a Walmart.
>>
Say what you will about them but Walmart prepared foods were fucking genius. Upgrading all of their stores into combination grocery stores was the best thing they've ever done. Everything about that side of the store just completely captured their mass appeal demographic. Down to the fucking in-store fast food franchises.

Bullets are the cheapest at wal mart. Also no reason not to buy things like tube socks, rice crispies, a cheap blender, or anything else where it's literally the same exact product at a cheaper price.
>>
>>7581223
>bullets, tube socks, rice crispies, cheap blenders
It appears your shopping list and mine don't have any overlap.

people who shop at wal mart are really a different species
>>

>so if you aren't a fat fuck who doesn't even lift, then yes butter is fine.
Maybe if you are camping or an Eskimo or malnourished in some way. But for your average american, butter should be avoided at all cost, along with fried food, cheese, and oils, and nuts and fatty foods in general.
>>
>>7581248
Those were examples showing the variety of shit that you can buy and save money. How about laundry detergent or toilet paper?

Wal-Mart superiority is retarded middle class housewife watching Downton Abbey to pretend they're cultured-tier.
>>
>>7581259
do you live in the fucking 80s or something

>>

The Safeway around me has the best produce, meat, and bread, but for ANYTHING out of a box I get it from Wal-Mart. If it's the same brand same box same product anyways, why not?
>>
>>7581268
My wife makes her own laundry detergent and powder for the dishwasher. (I think washing soda is involved). Super cheap. And the corner store half a block from my house sells 1000 sheet rolls of TP for 80 cents each, so I just pick it up as needed.

Most of what I buy is ingredients, not value added prepared stuff.
>>
>>7581248

Are you being obtuse for a reason? Instead of addressing the overall point of having no product quality difference, but cheaper price, you latch onto the specific products which are just examples of that concept, and talking about your individual life instead of the merits of the concept mentioned above.

Christ, I don't even know where you're going with this. But as a general rule, no, don't buy meat or produce from Wal-Mart. Many other products are fair game.
>>
>>7581326
>But as a general rule, no, don't buy meat or produce from Wal-Mart

Why? I buy turkey breasts from Walmart when they have them and the produce is pretty good. Potatoes, asparagus, apples, broccoli and oranges are just as good as any other store. I got some nectarines from Walmart last summer that were absolutely delicious. They were just as good as the best ones I have ever bought from Whole Foods or Wegmans and they have some great produce at those places.
>>
>>7581326
>no product quality difference, but cheaper price
On mass produced brand name crap I wouldn't buy in the first place. That IS my point.
>don't buy meat or produce from Wal-Mart
That's what I buy, so there's nothing for me there.
>>
>>7581374
What is wrong with the produce from Walmart?
>>
>>7580734
Have you tried that? Is it any good/better than doing it at home?
>>
>>7581408
It can't be cheaper than the greencgrocers in my neighborhood. Recent deals included:
2.5 lb bunch of Swiss chard - $2
large bunch cilantro - 75 cents
bag of three romaine hearts - $1
fresh ginger - 89 cents a pound
>>
>>7581408
His problem is that it's cheap and therefor not worth buying.
>>
>>7580538
>supermarket
>loaded

>>
>>7581456

The quality is top notch, not farmers market quality but top American supermarket quality for sure.
>>
>>7580608
Wow, even you're using c u r r e n t y e a r now.
>>
>>7581472

Settling for that if you have other options is the error.
>>
I'll pay the 5-10% premium to shop at a nicer store in a better neighborhood with clientele that I don't mind being around.

Walmart is and always will be a last resort.
>>
>>7580650
So you're trying to say Wal Mart is doing a pretty bang up job making pizza right?
>>
>>7581477
Then you should just say that you find American supermarkets to be substandard.
Seems silly to me but no reason to single out Walmart.
>>
>>7581107
>even live lobsters.

It's been forever since I've seen these. As a kid, they had them at Kroger and I think at Super Wal-Mart for awhile. Then, I just stopped seeing them. Can't place when, as it's something I didn't regularly look for.
>>
>>7580956
>>7581223
Thing is, it is NOT the same product. If you do a cursory google search you will see that Walmart's lower prices for the "same" product are actually due to aggressive negotiating by the Walmart buyers that cause manufacturers to produce inferior products specifically for distribution to Walmart. This has been proven for products such as HDTVs, ammunition, various electronics, and several consumer goods and food products. Just google it.
>>
>>7580700

The Walmart around where I live has a really shitty selection of food and doesn't carry any produce or meat, so there's no reason for me to go there when I have a Safeway and a Giant closer to me anyways.

I've been to Wal-Marts that carry a decent variety and quality of stuff for cooking though. Just not this one for some reason.
>>
>>7581518
that was a few products anon and has nothing to do with meat and veg
>>
>>7581532

>>
>>7581507
I have said that several times in this thread:
>>7580805
>>7581118
>>7581167
And there's every reason to single out Walmart - they're not just a good example of what's wrong with supermarkets in America, but retail in general. Their entire business model is selling poor quality products to people whose only concern is price. I like a deal as much as the next guy, but when it comes to food I set my standards a little higher.
>>
>>7581559

Some of my friends like it, some don't. I've bought it and eaten it and it seems like a great pizza for little kids. Its taste is the definition of generic. I could spend a dollar more at little ceaser's and get 10x the taste. If you want a pizza with absolutely nothing special about it, go for it.

Here's a little test: extend your hand and make like you're trying to grab something. Is the shape formed by your fingers:

1. The curvature of a car tire
2. The curvature of a basketball
3. The curvature of a grapefruit

If the answer is not (3), you're lying.

Now: have you ever noticed how a clothed ass and a naked ass don't quite look the same? That's right, an ass that looks exaggerated and bulbous in pants, is actually disgusting and african-american tier outside of those pants.

And now you know how to judge an ass, from a functional and aesthetic perspective. Small asses +10000 hideous fat mushy hippo asses -9359345983475

You don't infer that you did something if you're the one saying you did.
>5-inch
How oddly specific of you.
>>
>>7584809
So you eat heavily processed slop, enjoy it enough that you feel ashamed when it's pointed out it's trash, and then are stupid enough to get angry over hearing the truth?

Nah, clearly as labelled it's only available 4-7pm.

The ones on the bottom are there a maximum of 3 hours and with the wal mart meat beasts coming through they probably have to restock that thing every 10 minutes.

Disgusting... but not for the reasons you point out.

Eh, you could probably buy a frozen pizza for $5 or less that's better quality than that. Anything made by Wal-Mart tends to have really shitty quality.

That sucks, anon. Ever tried making your own sauce? If you use whole peeled canned tomatoes and squish them with your hand into the pot with everything else, and simmer for at least half an hour, it gives a great smooth texture.

Little Caesar's has a truly incredible formula when it comes to hot and readys. I cant think of another food service business that can compete with them when it comes to cost/quality/portion size.
>>
>>7582324
how do you cook those?
i mean what do you do to get them closest to 'good quality' with just a regular oven
>>
>>7587466
You fucking cook them in the oven

If you get there at around 6ish or 7 theyre old so they do them shits HALF MUTHAFUCKIN PRICE
