How do I know when these are done?
>>7501000
throw them to the wall.
you parboiled them right
>>7501003
Nope. Why do I need to boil them first?
>>7501009
because if you aren't trolling they are going to be hard as fuck
Side question. Are these only good for frying?
>>7501000
when you taste one and it tastes done
>>7501020
I never know what done is, though. I can tolerate a lot.
How easy is it to overcook?
How long do carrots need to cook for?
>>7501038
why are you wasting all this food? nobody even finds this thread funny mate
Now to drown it in ketchup
>>7501046
Tastes good. Just learned that the carrots could definitely had taken longer.
>>7501049
next time blanch everything for a few minutes before frying
if you cut the carrots smaller (grate or finely chop) you won't have to tho I would rather just blanch then fry bigger pieces
>>7501052
How do I blanch properly? Can I just microwave a cup of water if I am dipping stuff into it?
>>7501065
boil water
add veges
usually 3-5 minutes (test with fork)
you want them slightly softened, not breaking apart or too easy to pierce but not hard
>>7501067
Do I blanch them AFTER cutting them up?
>>7501072
yes
>>7501073
Will do that in the future. Interesting idea.
Regarding the green potatoes; how do I make them safer?
>>7501077

>>7501079

>>7501012
