My church is putting together food parcels to welcome some of the Syrian and Iraqi immigrants fleeing ISIS.
What sort of food should I donate? It'll mainly be canned stuff i guess.

from what i understand, the refugees are quite discerning.
if they've turned their noses up at freshly prepared european meals, how will they react to canned goods?
what you should do is visit your local middle eastern market or restaurant and ask the owners what they'd provide.
