With fries, cheese, salad, sambal, and garlic sauce.
Kebab is not as ubiquitous here as it was when I lived in Berlin, but I used to get it on bread with cabbage and other vegetables and garlic and hot sauce. I also ordered falafel quite a bit, as well.
The few Turkish restaurants I've found in the US will serve it on pocket pita with lettuce and it's just not as good. Even the stands in New York usually offer it on a platter with rice.

slathered in garlic sauce.

garlic (hummus is acceptable if it's available), lettuce, tomatoes, turnips.
Hipster place near me has swordfish marinated in za'atar and served with pita, baba ganoush and tzatziki sauce.
Its worth every dollar.

This is ideal, and not even as an ebin meemee
I ask for bacon on mine just so I can walk out if (when) they refuse. Shit's hilarious.
One place once said they could give me facon instead. I shouted "accept no substitutes!" and immediately marched away. I wish I could have seen the look on their faces, but turning back to see would have spoiled the effect.
Over thick bread covered in tomato sauce with some yogurt oon the side
