Buy a slow cooker ASAP.
Get meat, vegetables, and water / stock. Throw into slow cooker before work. Come home, dinner is ready.
Can you peel and cut a potato? Congrats, you're a passable chef.

>Carrots
>Celery
>Peas
Cut, peel, wash, whatever you need.
Throw it all in.
>Stewing Beef
>Beef Stock
Throw it in.
>Add water until level with vegetables.
Fucking done. Turn your slow cooker on and fuck off. Come home to delicious beef stew.
You can add seasoning if you want, but you're a young bachelor with no time for bullshit, so forget that nonsense.

>Basmati Rice

Briefly sear it in frying pan with a dab of butter.

Done. Fuck off to work and return for a nice dish of chicken, rice, and veggies. The chicken comes out so good, looking like pulled pork. I rip it up and spread into the rice/vegetable mix.Shovel that shit into your mouth.
You can make easy chili and other shit this way too. It's easy, cheap as fuck, and probably healthy considering you're eating a shitload of vegetables every day.
