Braunschweiger, pickles, baby romaine, mayo and deli mustard, on lightly toasted multi-grain bread. Raw broccoli florets with a little Caesar dressing on the side.

And you?

Me and my friends went out for American food today (or, at least what is considered American here). Pretty good food, if just a little bland.

>finally understanding why so many foreigners seem to think american food isn't any good

Where are you from where that's what they think American food looks like?

I can identify the salmon, leaf lettuce and broccoli. Nothing else is recognizable or american looking.

It's hard for me to imagine an "American restaurant" in another country. Like 90% of what I eat are dishes from other countries and the other 10% is cheeseburgers.

Sticking a tiny American flag in food automatically makes it American.

that's what happened to the moon, and the embassy in in Saigon. So you're right

I'm guessing somewhere in SE Asia?

You are correct!

Thailand.

It's pretty easy to tell the general region when it looks Asian and they aren't using chopsticks.

What makes you say that? We will use chopstick for all noodle dishes and usually for rice dishes, somtam, noodle soup, korean dishes, sushi, etc.

Just not for curry or any rice dish with lots of sauce, salad, or any non-Asian food

SE Asia is the only place that eats Asian looking dishes with spoons and forks, with tablecloths and place mats that look like that.
