>Actually eating your steak well done
>Eating it any other way than medium rare

In France, the terminology is different, but there are two facts that should get you thinking.
>Medium rare is called à point, which liberally translates to "just right"
>There is no French term for well done, bien cuit roughly corresponds to medium

Why choose anything other than perfection, and why go as far as to eat ruined meat?
>>
I had rare steak for the first time last week and it was really good.

Maybe because the steak was top tier.

This. If you're just buying USDA choice or whatever then med rare is great. But for top shelf steaks I never cook it more than rare.
>>
>>7360088
I've been going rare for years and every steak is better than the last. Medium rare is just a little too done for me
>>
People grew up with mothers who were bad cooks, they ate rare because "It's red then it ain't cooked."

>tfw I took a girl out to a nice restaurant, ordered Salad Nicoise and she was bothered by the Seared Tuna for being "raw"

Glad it didn't work out. I ain't marrying a picky eater idiot.

>eat well done steak
>sister is trained chef, took me to steakhouses all the time when i was younger
>still preferred steaks well done
>don't ever really think about it
>multiple people spend their free time complaining about how other people eat their steak
it's sad really

You're just pretending because you know it'll get you replies.
>>
I like my burgers well done.

it's hilarious, sad, and concerning that you think this

If you're using shitty cuts of stake you're probably gonna want them more well done
>>
>falling for the raw meat meme

LMAO. "Rare" is literally what shitcooks who can't properly roast a thick piece of meat without burning it serve.
>>
I like medium. Red/pink meat is delicious but I still want a ring of cooked meat around it.

Third or fourth date I usually take the girl out to a northern african/middle eastern bistro type place, which has a phenomenal roasted lamb's brain. If she won't try it, there's not going to be another date.

Must be a lonely world retard

Because I like to eat my steak well-done
>>
>>7362721
I do a similar thing on a third or fourth date, but replace "North African style roasted lamb's brain" with "my cum".
>>
>>7363779
>not cumming on the lamb brain

I like my meat dry.

Do this on the first date anon so she doesn't have to waste 3 dates before finding out what a unbearably pretentious hipster faggot you are.

>"I know an UUH-MAY-ZING northen african/middle eastern bistro type place"
>"umm.. ok ^^ what kind of food do they have?"
>"oh you'll see..." *waxes mustache* *tightens pea coat*

>"oh fourth date I see sir, the regular then?"
>"yes my good man, just a salad for milady and a bottle of your finest IPA"
>"very good sir"
>"here you go, enjoy"

>"eww *giggle* is that brains?"
>"Indeed, and you have to eat it"
>"I dunno..."
>"eat it."
>"huh?"
>"eat it or I won't date you again"
>*nervous laughter* "you can't be-"
>"I'm serious"
>"umm... I have to go..." *rushes out*
>"hmph, pedestrian. Will I ever find one whom is worthy of my countenance?"

they overcook as not to make someone sick, so I order rare. Honestly I never send it back for being overdone. If i'm eating a steak, it's a status thing, the bloodier the better.

If I am going to actually enjoy my steak I drench it in soy sauce, fight me.

Uh, guys. What the fuck? Brain is such a commonplace food. It wasn't that long ago that most households were regularly eating it. Has the Western world really gotten this squeamish about offal over the course of a scant thirty years?
>>
>>7364825
underdone*

Also dry chicken is better chicken
>>
>>7364826
If that's what you took from those replies then there's no helping you.

As a younger man I used to get medium rare or rare mostly, thought it made me look tough I guess. Settled on medium years ago, perfect balance of texture, blood and heat.
