It's more than that. The lazy combining of trailer park level ingredients on paper plates has lots to do with it. Also the relentless pallor of white starch and yellow cheese that figures so prominently in this style of "cooking" without much or any vegetable matter to break it up doesn't help, either. Then there's the best part of all: the alleged earnest pride of the person who made it. The person throwing this crap together is so far removed from any idea of what good food actually is that they honestly think they did a good enough job to warrant photographing it and crowing about it online.

That's lots more wrong than just bad lighting. Bad taste, poverty and ignorance play major roles, too.
