I started eating keto about 2 weeks ago. Not being able to eat a lot of carbs is tolerable except for one thing. All of the sugar substitutes I've tried taste horrible. Splenda, truvia(stevia & Erythritol), xylitol, and aspartame all have an awful chemical aftertaste. Should I fork out more money for monk fruit extract or another stevia blend, or should I give up trying to find a palatable low carb sweetener?

The best sweetener is actually a combo. Pain in the butt but it's true. I process together 1/3 cup erythritol + 1/3 cup xylitol + 2/3 cup Splenda (in the pouch). Even the supertasters and the high carbers have no clue it's low carb.

Honey has 17 carbs per tablespoon, which is already half of my daily intake of carbs, so no.

Liquid splenda's way better than the liquid stevia. Truth. Look for EZ-Sweetz. Gay name, totally sexy liquid drops of delight. I think one small bottle has like 200 servings? And it's basically 0-carb

I'm thinking about cutting out sweet food completely, but even delicious savory foods like bacon and butter don't stop the sweet cravings.
aspartame has no aftertaste...
