Next time get them in olive oil. I'd eat them one of two ways: Have on brown bread with strong mustard and some sliced red onion. Or dress some cooked hot pasta with olive oil, a little finely chopped garlic, capers, salt, pepper and chopped parsley, then add the drained sardines to it with a squeeze of lemon juice.

get some club crackers and put your fish on and enjoy. or on Triscuits is pretty good too.
