>buy a six pack of apples
>they look fine
>they all have moldy cores
Why is this allowed?
Never happened to me in 10 years of Apple eating.

Are you eight years old?
But seriously, yeah. Never, ever, EVER got a moldy core in my 27 years of apple eating.
>Buy prepackaged, overpriced produce
It's either rotten in the core or otherwise subpar.
>By the pound
No problems.
>he doesnt have an apple tree in his garden

>10 years
>are you eight?
If he was I wouldn't even be mad, just mad impressed.
#1 rule of apple eating is to NEVER penetrate through to the core. when shearing off the initial chunks you need to use extreme caution and then follow up with careful nibbling to remove the remaining apple meat

Who buys 6 packs of apples? By them by the pound
I used to work for an organic fruit and veggie shop that sold "seasonal" fruit and veggies. Apples could sit in the cold room for around 6 months, they could probably last longer.

Dude I eat my apples completely, even the stem and all. Cant bother myself enough to walk from my desk to my kitchen where the waste basket is.
Yeah, I'm pretty lazy.
