Beer braised sweet potato with smoked paprika. Faggot.
I'm moving out for the first time on Monday and instead of packing my shit I've just been fixating on alow cooker recipes because that's less anxiety-inducing
1.5 lb chicken
1 cup diced onion
1 cup diced carrot
1 cup diced celery
1 cup uncooked wild rice
6 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
Italian seasoning, pepper, salt, rosemary, bayleaf, etc to taste
3.5 hours on high, then shred chicken and mix roux with 5 tbsp butter, half cup flour, 2 cups milk, mix and let sit for 30 minutes.
Serve.
I mixed in some leftover mashed potatoes to thicken further and make it heartier, it was fantastic, could probably replicate with mashed potato flakes if you wanted to but it was fine without.
My favorite thing I made.
