Jajangmyeon isn't even good when it's homemade, how would you expect a packaged version to be good? It's the Korean version of Chinese food ruined for local tastes.

I was trying a bunch of gourmet type ramen noodle things. Some of them were really good. This one was the worst. I have to agree with everything you said. But the noodles should be salvageable.

It's an acquired taste. These were not at all what I was expecting the first time I tried them, so I was disgusted. Give 'em a second try, they're pretty good.
