>making leaf tea
>use two tablespoons of tea, 1.5 cups of water
>the resulting amount of tea is only enough to fill up less than 3/4th of a cup

Is this normal? Am i supposed to use a lot more water than this?

I refuse to believe your tea leaves absorbed half of the water.
>>
>>7251763
Yes.

And, holy shit, don't drink Billy Tea. It isn't even an Australian owned brand anymore. There's no reason at all to use the horrid stuff.
>>

so how much water should i be using for two tablespoons?

it was on sale for cheap at the supermarket so i figured i would give it a go. i know where to get better tea, but they usually require you to buy at least 1kg of it to get it at a decent price. b uying just 250g of it costs a ridiculous amount.

I usually do 1 cup for 3/4 tablespoon or so
>>

Like a teaspoon per cup.

A teaspoon per person and one for the teapot is what grandmothers say, but that doesn't make sense to me because the teapot has the same capacity no matter how many guests you have.

>teaspoon
what?
>>
>>7251954
Different person, teaspoon per cup is what I do and it comes out pretty ideal.
>>
>>7251957
teaspoon of water?

Seriously, man?

This thread is a slow motion conversion car-crash.

The average "cup", container, holds 2 Cups of liquid.
If you pour a "cup" of tea, with 1.5 Cups measured of water, it will be 3/4ths full

>everything went as expected

the OP is asking how much water to use.
