If you cooking with EVOO fairly hot, you'll neutralize the flavor, and won't be able to tell the difference. It also has a low smoke point, so is a poor choice for a lot of cooking. It's good as on salads and spreads, as a finisher after cooking, in sauces that are just being warmed, for dipping bread, etc., but there are better oils for sauteeing or other cooking.
