ITT: Surprise Ingredients

Ever since I saw Chef John put nutmeg in his mac&cheese, I use it in every white sauce I make.

Sometimes I put my semen in the frosting when I make cookies and muffins. My girlfriend loves it.

a while ago my housemate decided to soak jerky in hot water because he wanted steak. he was quite shit faced at the time. the next morning i was out of sugar, so i tossed the soaked jerky into my semolina pudding . after it was cooked i put gravy on top. a little odd but pretty good, before this i would have never considered savory semolina pudding

I normally only add MSG to foods I bring to potlucks but I once added some to fudge and it turned out great, every now and then I make some with the good stuff.
