>tfw so fucking stupid that i can't even get one of these to fucking work

What the fuck, I put the god damned steaks into the bag, slid it into the machine until it hit the top, and pressed "vac/seal" button. Takes like a minute to suck the air out then seals it automatically and all the fucking air isnt even gone.

God damn it this is bullshit. How the fuck do you work this thing
>>
Literally just get a ziploc and use water to squeeze the air out
>>
>>7204122
idk man i might be too stupid to even get that to work.
>>
>>7204116
There is probably an 'automatic' and 'manule' setting for sucking the air out. Try the manule setting.

there should be a button or switch or something for selecting the size of bag/amount of vaccume

TECHNOLOGY

I'm such a fucking idiot. I didn't realize you have to insert the fucking bag INTO the drip tray area and remove the drip tray for the vacuum to work. I was just laying it across. That's why it was taking like a minute to work and didn't even work

Jesus christ

So, when not using it for sous-vide or marinating, does this significantly extend the fresh taste of something like steak if put in the refrigerator? I can notice a difference in steak that has been frozen, so, I typically eat around a pound of steak over 2 or 3 days when I get it, so I don't have to freeze it. Obviously, I'd used a vac-sealer for more than that, but, being able to keep a couple pieces of steak in the fridge for several days, so it feels more like a treat than a binge would be a big selling point.
