Got these plantains from a neighbor, how would /ck cook them?
Peel them, batter them, deep dry, and eat with your favorite ice cream.
Throw em in the blender with some vanilla icecream and milk
Since they're yellow still, treat them like potatoes.
Peel them. It works better if you score them with a knife and use a spoon to pry the skin off.
Cut into 2 inch slices.
Deep fry them for about 4 minutes.
Take them out and soak in heavily salted water for about 1-2 minutes.
Dry them well.
Smash them flat into about 1/2 inch thickness.
Fry until golden brown.
Congratulations you've made tostones.
