I wish I could've been paid time-and-a-half for working today. I talk to the relatives I like when the mood strikes, so, I don't need a holiday to catch up with them. Don't care to go through the motions with the others.
But, I work for a university. A Lab Tech Sr. is technically a wage position and we are not allowed overtime. If we get injured on the job when not clocked in, we not only don't get medical leave or workman's comp, the entire lab could be shut down.
Also, Jews and Asians exist.
