I never understood this. I never wake up craving eggs and greasy meat with pancakes or potatoes. Never.
The few times I've been to a Cracker Barrel the whole thing seems like an ad man's vision of a country store from a century ago serving huge short order breakfasts and third rate foodservice versions of American great-grandma cooking.

Then that point is completely lost on me. I never think, "Oh, it would be so nice to eat foodservice versions of old home cooking dishes in a fake country store setting." I guess it appeals to the same folks who eat at the Olive Garden (foodservice Italian American food in a fake Italian setting) and Johnny Rocket's (burgers, fries and shakes in a fake 1950's setting). I'd prefer to trade the fake corporate theme for better food, given the choice.

if youve been to south nj, you know uncle bills controls bfast. its nuts, they do everything so well. hell, they dont even stay open in the afternoon because their bfast is so goddamn good
Back before they changed locations Tolly-Ho was the jam for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their country-fried steak was the best.
