Best burger I've even had was $16. No stick required, because after being perfectly grilled it was wrapped in dough and deep fried.

Look at the meat. It's grilled med rare. The dough is thin and the fryer hot, so by the time the dough is cooked and the cheese melted the burger itself is only just kept warm, because the dough shields it from the hot oil.
I would have written it off as a fucking gimmick, but after it was rated one of the best burgers in NYC several years in a row I had to give it a shot. Turns out it totally works, which was a pleasant surprise. Because most of the time someone tries to put their own spin on a simple, classic dish they end up fucking it up.
