Blueberry Pancake Pro-tip
Don't add your blueberries to the batter mix.
Instead pour your battermix into the hot oiled pan and drop the berries into the top of the pancakes.
Press them in slightly.
Even better protip: coat them lightly in flour so they don't bleed into the batter.
You don't need to do this if they're fresh

With pancakes I often eat Bacon, so instead of using oil or butter on the pancake pan you can use some of the melted bacon fat.

I prefer them in the batter. They get well warmed through and their jammy juice pops out when you bite into them.

pancakes made with flour are dope as shit

They get warmed just as well by dropping them in as soon as you pour it...mixing them with the batter doesn't distribute them evenly and gives the pancakes a fucked up shape.

I do the same thing with bananas. Occasionally, I throw walnuts in as well.

I find the blueberries don't warp the shape of the pancake, probably because my batters are very thick. Dropping the blueberries in tend to make them more prone to leak when I fry the last side. But I do agree that they do not get evenly distributed.
