Salted good for you
>>
Salted tastes miles better.

Supposedly unsalted is used for baking, but I still use salted butter when baking.
>>
Salted is unsalted

Unsalted is salted

They both have no salt
>>
If a recipe calls for unsalted butter and salt. I usually just use salted butter.

I just use salted all the time.

If you're just going to spread butter on hot toast, you wanted salted butter, otherwise it will taste bland.

For cooking, unsalted butter is what you want so that you can control exactly how much salt goes into a dish - especially for baking, because you can't accurately taste test batter or dough for saltiness, and too much salt makes for horrible cookies or bread that won't rise.
>>
I like unsalted butter better on sweeter breads
>>
there's salt in unsalted butter, no salt in salted butter

Unsalted butter (also sometimes called "sweet butter") doesn't last as long as salted butter. It's better for recipes because you can adjust your own salt levels.
>>
unsalted for baking because you can oversalt that shit really easily and most recipes call to add their own salt
for frying shit and other things salted is fine and it keeps longer in the fridge

sweet refers to the cultured cream

Salted butter will keep longer.

Just remember to reduce the amount of salt in any recipes you fix if you use salted butter.

It's just not a reliable thing cuz diff companies put diff amounts of salt in their butter.

I always use unsalted in baking/cooking but keep a few sticks of salted for my toast.

I heard from a dairy farmer that higher quality cream goes into unsalted butter, as the salt would mask it's flavor.

In any case, I use unsalted in everything so I can directly control the salt myself.
>>

salted butter has salt added to it. unsalted butter is subjected to a panel of meanies that yell disparaging phrases at it before it's shipped
>>
Salted butter is no good
>>
>>7119942
Salted is a relic from pre-refridgeration days to help the butter keep longer.

Unsalted is for healthy, intelligent, modern people that own refrigerators.
