Who /fast/ here? It's already the second day of the nativity fast, so you're all probably set up by now.
What are you fasting from?
What are you cooking?
Why are you fasting? Religious reasons? What's your religion and/or rites?
I'm fasting, but it's for weight loss reasons, not religious ones.
What is your religion, OP?

I'm in the hospital with gallbladder complications.
I haven't had a meal in over 13 days.

What do you want to eat when you get out of the hospital?

I'm irreligious, but I'm doing about one fast per year. I did Catholic lent last year, and I'm doing Eastern nativity lent now.
This one is easier, it seems. Basically no animal products* and no plant oils on Mon/Wed/Fri, and vegan the rest of the week.
* Invertebrates (crab, snails, shrimp, etc) are fair play any day of the week, and marine vertebrates are fine on weekends only.

Shucks, man. Having a timeframe for when you can eat again would help (which is why I've been following strictly-defined fasts instead of personal-preference diets). Have the docs told you what the plan is?

I'm fasting from all street vendor foods
It's for religious reasons
My religious denomination is Pedestrian
I Will start my fast, at 8pm and not let up until Saturday, ideally
I've fucked my cut so much today
so do they call fast food fast food because it's food you eat while you're fasting because its not really food?

My random thought made better sense in my head. Sorry. Work in progress. Polite sage.

What does this even mean? It's like it's trying to be edgy but it can't figure out how.
