I'm partial to onion bagels, toasted and used in place of bread to make a sandwich. Roast beef preferably.

I try to always get an egg bagel with lox and plain schmear, but the Mexicans that work at my local bagel place thinks I keep saying "lox schmear." Not a big deal, but I'm more disappointed at how often fucking egg bagels are sold out. I normally get garlic secondary.

Hand rolled, boiled, baked in a wood oven poppy seed bagel with cream cheese, lox, onions and capers.
Everything bagel with whitefish salad if you got, cream cheese and lox if you don't.
Pumpernickel is a good bagel for sweet spreads like spiced cream cheese or PB&J.
I prefer pitas/flat-bread. Easier to make and more surface area for toppings.

Local place makes the best bagels I've ever had. I've never been to Jew York, though. Their everything bagels are everything to me. They make their own cream cheese in house as well. Toasted, obviously
