Opinions on Ketchup.
I think when I was a kid, it tasted different. First, it had a texture. You could see it was not smooth like the stuff now. It also had more of a vinegar taste. I am wondering, is this because I am thinking of restaurant ketchup? Is it any different? If you don't like ketchup, just dont post in this thread.

I think people who use ketchup hate the taste of whatever they're eating it with, since it practically drowns out all other flavors. So for that purpose it's pretty great.

Can someone explain why covering all your food in sugar is nice? Don't mean to criticise anyone. I love rich desserts as much as the next person, but ketchup users tend to cover literally anything with it indiscriminately and to me, it would ruin the flavour of what I'm eating, even if it's just some cheap salty product.

It's great actually. I didn't use the extra sugar some recipes called for since you're using syrup to begin with. 1st batch was lite karo, I'm going to sub for maple syrup next, most likely this weekend. The garlic powder and onion powder are a must though.
