Depends on the costumes. Some people have separate closets yo hang up pieces. Storage totes for costume parts. Stuff that's to big to store away(like mecha and armor pieces, people store away in a corner of a room. I've seen people display their props on walks(usually the swords) people like to store their more styled wigs, on a shelf on wig heads.
Most of my stuff is stuck in a shed atm with my furniture until I move to a new place.
