If you're 25 with nothing but a degree from a joke college and no experience, is it pretty much game over for you in terms of making real wealth in life?
>>
>>995755
I disagree.

After completing a double major in aerospace and historical literature at a prestigious college. And having my satellite launched successfully into orbit and completed it function. (I say my satellite, but there were 3 others on the design team and NASA helped with some of the launch details.)

I am now stocking shelves at a carpet warehouse for over $10 an hour and live with my parents. I am almost 30 now.

35 is the cutoff age. People take longer to get up and running in this generation.

If you don't have a stable career by 35 then you're a waste of oxygen

It's never over until you stop trying. Most people never even begin to try. They immediately fall for the having kids, mortgage/auto loans, and credit card memes right after high school or college. Nobody pursues dreams anymore. They just sit around and bitch and moan hoping the Government gives them free money someday. The US society is leaning more and more towards socialism and all innovation and progression of humanity will cease. Women are already having children before they even finish school. People are getting fatter. People are still living with their parents blaming everything on the economy. People check Indeed or SnagAJob once a month and call that job hunting. Nobody is becoming independent anymore.

It's happening.

I just turned 25 with an associates degree, dropped out of college, was nearly homeless a couple years ago and now I make $100k.

Life Is full of opportunity, you just need to find them.

Because he had millions upon millions and decades of knowledge already.

Stop trying to perpetuate dumb ass memes that "if u wish it hard enuff u can become rich".

You're pretty much defacto fucked at 25 with no degree and experience. It's very hard to break out of the cycle at that point and get somewhere decent.

Everything builds and builds on top of things. You can't for example fuck off all off pre-elementary school and then elementary and middle school and half of highschool then all of a sudden gain all this work ethic and perseverance to all of a sudden succeed in last 2 years of hs and get into a good University and do well. If you didn't learn the skills while everyone did you will struggle.
>>
>>996173
>Because he had millions upon millions and decades of knowledge already.
Sure, you cannot learn as well than you could as a child/young adult, but there's nothing stopping you from acquiring those things now.

>Stop trying to perpetuate dumb ass memes that "if u wish it hard enuff u can become rich".
It's true though. Work harder than the average person and you'll make more money than the average person. It doesn't even take that much work to retire with a few million, an average forty hour work week gets you that. Think what you could do with a hundred hours.

There's nothing stopping you from developing those skills now anon. A degree is not that important.

>>996171
Just goes to show that it's never over until you drop dead. Look at all these people who stay active in their 70s and 80s, what fulfilling lives they've lead. They could have given up at retirement and then spent 25 years watching garbage on TV
>>
If you're the type of faggot to roll over and die because someone has a bullshit opinion of a cutoff age that you have to be in order to be great, then maybe you aren't cut from the right stuff in the first place.

Instead take that anxiety and channel it into something productive.
>>
>>995755
>thinking it's ever over
>thinking there's an age limit
Not gonna make it brah with that attitude
>>
>>996263
>>996184
I guess I know it's not totally over, but over in terms of making it in the next three years. Though I'm sure it's capable of being shorter if I had a certain direction to go to.

It seems like I have to do a reset, and change my expectation to 7-10 years.

Britfag, I want to be earning £150k+ a year.

I just have to shut the fuck up and work.
>>

When you spend 25 years not developing any learning skills or anything and you've literally been on 4chan for years while people were building relationships, having many jobs, trying out new things, going to University, etc while you've only learned the rotation of some mindless class like retribution paladin or frost DK you're pretty fukt tbqh.
>>
You're fucked when you're dead, not before.

>>995755

Every day you wake up, is a day you can make a big choice and turn it all around.

My aunt's mother is 79 and could easily finish her college degree from years ago with only one missing credit. She could, but she decided against it. Anything is possible, and your life can still flourish into something great if you just try.
>>
>>996366
So in summary your aunt's mother is 79 and hasn't done shit with her life. How does this prove your point exactly?

Game is over when you're born, unless you are one of the few born into wealth. No amount of worthless college is gonna do you any good. You need to have inside connections to get into the rich crowd.
>>
There's no cutoff age. There is a point when people get a life or where most people who are ambitious would have made it. This is just correlation though. If you believe a cutoff exists, then you're just confusing these things.

Problem is that people don't want to do the shitty jobs to gain experience. I had to work in a convenience store, warehouse, and even a nursing home. All the time I had friends taking the piss out of me working in those places, and now I earn £120 a day, while they cut wood and earn jackshit.
>>
>>997243
Plus I worked in those shitty alongside studying.
>>
>>997243
>£120

Kek.. that's about what the average helpdesk customer service employee with 1 plus year experience get per day in London.

It's 15 quid per hour dude..I think a nurse gets 17 per hour..
>>
>>997252
I don't work in London.
>>
>>997245
and you pay tax and national insurance on top of it as well.. So you should get about 1500 pound nett per month.

My ex received 1300 in benefits per month...
>>
>>997257
Your ex was a degenerate. I'm not, I work.
>>
>>997258
Yeah and look at you now!
>>
>>997258
she got a burnout after 9 years of working 48 hour on/off shifts in a mental institute as a nurse..
>>
>>997262
And all that training for what? To be treated like shit, and held accountable for the slightest mistake. Now her own mental health is at stake.

I don't deal with that shit in my profession which I'm glad, and I have the opportunity to work up, and I even considered becoming a mental health nurse at one time.
>>
>>997266
>and I have the opportunity to work up

You are already too old for that. It's pretty much game over for you in terms of making real wealth

>Fucked off until the middle of highschool
>Got into a mediocre college (not community-tier shit)
>Making 80k thanks to decent skillset and years of experience through workstudy/internships, plus networking with people in the field

You can do alright, though the proper circumstances and luck are absolutely a factor. Anyone who says otherwise is a raging homo.
>>
>>995755
Are you serious? What is real wealth? It's not too late. If you started now and could make 5-10 million by 35-40 would that be enough? People on this board are so disillusioned.

If you could make 120k a year and not work ever again and just shitpost on 4chan, would that be too shitty for you? I'm 36 and have a little over 1.8 million in combined net worth. I have a passive income of around 150k that I never have to work for. I didn't have a degree and never really made more than 100k a year as a fucking cop.
>>
>>995839

>>
>>997256
What do you do?
>>
>>997393
damn, that's a lot of passive.
rental incomes?
>>
>>997410
About 70% is rental income. The other is ebay/amazon selling. The amazon/ebay stuff isn't 100% passive, but I spend maybe a 4-5 hours a week at most dealing with it.
>>
>>997419
>The other is ebay/amazon selling.
What sort of things?
>>
>>997421
Well, I won't give away my exact niche. It's something simple, lightweight and that ships easily and is inexpensive to buy from China. If any of /biz/ knew what it was I'd be called a weaboo or a faggot most likely. I truly never thought it would sell but I continuously sell 4-5 a day.
>>
>>997427
officer you are selling dakimakuras aren't you.
>>
>>997427
>I truly never thought it would sell but I continuously sell 4-5 a day.
Nice. Sounds like you've got a good thing going
>>
>>997433
You may be right, anon :^)

>>997434
It is for now, but I don't truly expect it to last. I'm just enjoying the ride.

The point of my posts, however, are that any of you faggots can do well. I can't promise you that you'll be some big fucking multimillionaire, but you can always do better and that should be the whole point. So many people here are so event driven that they never gain any traction. School is great, but you better have a plan for that Ph.D and the debt. Getting out there and busting your ass will do more for you than anything else will, in my humble opinion and experience
>>
>>997393
>>997419
Hey anon, what market are you in? I'm in MA and rental is fucked, the 1% rule is a joke and you need 85k just to safely get your first property. (60k down payment, 10k repairs, 15k security fund so you don't lose it in year 1)

Thinking of moving to Durham/Raleigh as their houses are as cheap as our condos.
>>
>>997447
Dallas/Ft. Worth. I also have some (most really) rentals in West Tennessee
>>
>>997450
Oh cool, that was the other area I was looking at. Too high of a crime rate though, except southwest Dallas. Good, affordable houses there that don't appear to have bars on the windows/doors.
>>
>>997458
Ft. Worth area isn't that bad and neither is Dallas if you stay north. All the areas in-between are gems though if you look and get to know the area.

I wouldn't count out high crime areas though. I know it's a pain in the ass, but I have some high crime areas that are Section 8. You have to almost gut the house every time a tenant moves out, but it's guaranteed money and good money since I don't have shit in the house. I bought a house for 24k. I put about 4-5k getting it to pass inspection, and it gets me a check of $840 a month.
>>
>>996179
>Nothing stopping You
TIME mother fucker
You go in for thing that pays out in the last 2 years of a twenty year cycle, but you've only got 10 years. Missed opportunity.
Get to fucking work.

>>996847
Are you stupid. No one lives in a vacuum. Get something they want and they'll come to you.
