Any highschool dropouts on this boards?

Do you regret it?

Where are you now?
>>
>>993280
>Any highschool dropouts on this boards?
Yes, 20 male Canada.
>Do you regret it?
Absolutely. Looking back it was so easy to get good marks and do well, I just fuked it all up like a moron ;-; in my defense it mostly wasn't my fault but my circumstances, but how I reacted to those circumstances made it my fault.
>Where are you now?
I have been a neet for years and I am very lonely, lack social skills/ability to speak to people except those I feel very comfortable with and feel like a complete loser.

I am now working on finishing it and getting into university to some scavenge my life but it's no use. Might just kill myself in a year or two if it doesn't work out, kinda gave up on everything.
>>
I dropped out at 16 and spent the next 5 years doing drugs.

I had a lightbulb moment when I was 21 and within 3 months had my GED and was enrolled in Community College. Transferred and graduated with my BA in Computer Science. It took me 6 years to finish though because I was working full time but I finished. That was a long time ago and it still feels weird to say I graduated College

I suggest doing what you truley love, enjoy completely in the next year or two. There is no thinking twice here, just do, witg rational, intellectual approach, easy, slowly, without getting to upset if something does not work out, simply approach te he problem/onstacle from a different angle, or get back into a higher category of things, and change the angle from there, see what works and what does not. How? Asess your experience, preferably with scientific approach, learn from it and you will grow. You will eventually become a master at your things. They all get paid well, all masters do. Please.
>>
I dropped out of university twice. But I made it the third time. :^)

>I suggest doing what you truley love, enjoy completely in the next year or two

I have tried this so many times. I think I have severe learning disabilities, I can't stay focused for more than an hour on studying anything and I struggle to make sense of anything I read.

I got a severe injury when I started to lift again(trying to at least do soemthing right) and got surgery but now it's gotten worse because yesterday it felt like I re-injured it again. If it fucks up again I don't want to go through all the surgery and shit again.

I might just spend my last ~$3000 on stimulants and steroids, I'll sell them and use some. It's the only way out of this situation i think I have come to the conclusion I am simply mentally and physically inferior and shouldn't prolong my pain

I have been trying to learn to program for so long but i can't do it, I can't get past a beginner level. Anything else is too complex i can't even master the Standard Library

>Yes dropped out my Senior year because everything i was learning was pointless, useless and retarded
>currently making 10$/hour 40+ hours a week

That sounds horrible.

I'd rather be NEET(and I am).

>literally dont need a high school meme degree

Cmon man I also dropped out but you gotta admit it's pretty much necessary to progress to anywhere.
>>
>>993743

Graduated high school, dropped out of college. Didn't drop out because I was insanely successful either, just realized I didn't want to be a wage slave.

Currently pulling $60 grand a year, passive. Spending most of my free time socializing and pursuing personal interests.
>>
could you just lie about having finished high school?
>>
>>993772
Obviously.

No one will ever check lmao.
>>
>>993782
suckers 8-)
>>
>>993788
But it will be impossible to progress.

Tbh I don't see why other dropouts don't just completely lie on resume. Nothing to lose when you're a NEET... If they find out you lied you just go back to square one which you would've been at in the first place.
>>
>>993793
isn't it illegal?
>>
>>993831

Might be illegal to buy a credential from a diploma mill and pass it off as a legitimate one. Dont know shit about high school though
>>
>>993762
>Any highschool dropouts on this boards?

>Graduated high school
No one cares.

>Any highschool dropouts on this boards?
I am here. I'm 20 years old from Pennsylvania, USA.
>Do you regret it?
I think I do. Getting into a decent university became much more challenging.
>Where are you now?
I start at Penn State, the main campus, this January after being a NEET for 2.5 years.
>>
>>993831
>>993833
No lying on your resume definitely is not illegal.

Even if it was who the fuck cares? It's not like you can do any worse than a jobless NEET.
>>
yes, dropped out when i was 17. i was doing pretty well, but schools never really been for me. that summer i interned at a family friends prop trading firm, and i really enjoyed it. i(or maybe my dad) convinced them to hire me as basically an assistant to the junior traders. i did that for a couple of years, learned a lot until i become a junior trader and eventually a 'real' trader when i was 21. im 29 now, still in the business. absolutely no regrets, but i did have opportunities that are not open to most people.
>>
>>993361
If you need someone to explain it to you, you have bigger problems than getting your GED.
>>
>>994322
>If you need someone to explain it to you, you have bigger problems than getting your GED.

Why don't you explain then?

What's wrong with either of them? Steroids aren't bad for you and stimulants can be used in moderation to aide studying.

Dropped out at 16. Got my GED at 16. Lived with my Great-Grandma playing video games 24/7 until she passed away when I was 19. Was homeless. She left me $5,500 and I bought a car and moved to Texas with $2,200 I had left over. Ended up finding a roommate through Craigslist while I was in a hotel in Tennessee. Had a temp job when I moved there. Quit after 2 days. Lived off food stamps and selling practically all of my possessions for a couple months. Met a guy on Craigslist I fixed a laptop for and got me into running ads for Escorts. Paid me $500/week. Ended up going to community college for 2 semesters before dropping out. Things got weird to where I was advertising underage practically sex slaves (Mexicans taken from their families). Wanted to get out and moved back home to my Dad's at 22. Lived in a shitty trailer. Got eaten up by cockroaches and fleas from his pets and hoarding habits. Felt like I hit rock bottom and wanted to get out. I wanted to join the military but found out about Merchant Marines. I went into working on the deck then in the engine department. Been doing that ever since. I started working out of San Diego then Hawaii and now mostly Southeast Asia. Rent a small apartment in the Philippines where I live when I'm not on ships 6-8 months of the year. I make good money though ($60K last year) and living in the Philippines, I save a majority of it. It's not hard to live off $10-15K a year here.
>>
Dropped out of high school. I don't regret it. Joined the military, used my GI bill get start my degree, now I'm working on getting into med school.

No one gives a shit about your high school diploma after you get a couple good semesters in college. Granted if you're a stupid piece of shit with no willpower then you're not going to get far.
>>
>>994347
Fake and gay.

It's mandate at every college to have a highschool diploma or GED before you're allowed in.
>>
>>994367

You also need a high school diploma or GED+15 college credits to join the Military.
>>
>Tfw currently finishing memeschool

Smdh it's so easy. Why didn't I just sleep enough and pay attention in class...
>>
>>994367
>>994377
I'm sure what he meant is that he is currently getting his associate's at a community college. A high school dropout wouldn't actually be smart enough to get into med school. Every freshman thinks they're going to be a doctor or a lawyer and then ends up changing to communications.
>>
>>994397
>A high school dropout wouldn't actually be smart enough to get into med school. Every freshman thinks they're going to be a doctor or a lawyer and then ends up changing to communications

Even some of the smartest people can't get into medschool.

Shit is heavily scrutinized that if you messed up at all and don't have 500 hours of volunteering at a hospital, perfect marks, perfect MCAT scores, etc you will not get in.
>>
>>994401

Not entirely true. My friend is a med student. She didn't even get a major in biology and was a last minute decision. Never volunteered or anything. Her Undergrad major was speech pathology and she got a great MCAT score though. Goes to UT Austin.
