Japanese "economics"
The Nikkei looks relatively cheap right now, but this scares me.

bumping for interest but I haven't studied much Japanese economic policy.All I know is that some CEO from Morgan Stanely gave a lecture at my school and talked about how as a society they are so much better at saving money... Also they have some of the safest bonds in the world, and 0% interest. which is redic imo

Japen is just a future peak into the rest of the west. The growth is gone, but they are trying to squeeze out the last little bits by giving free money. Just learn to be happy with a cell hpone, computer,, and friends, you don't need more.

But is the Nikkei cheap? The yen will likely go lower right?
QE is great when you're in a sudden liquidity trap like 2009 and have 0% rates.
But it's utterly fucking pointless when you're 20 years into a slump caused by collapsing demand.
