I'm going to read every book on economics, finance and business I can find. I'm starting today. What first?
>>
The problem you might encounter is that most of the books are just wrong, as economics is not well understood real sciecne like physics or math for example.

Most people who write books are not the best experts.

The best experts who have knowledge 99% economists dont have do not tend to tell their views or write public books.

Look at cohen for example, 7kilos to 25billion in 30 years. He never gives interviews or tell anything about how he sees the markets, economics in general or how he trades.
>>
>>976466
Well what is your goal?

Just accumulation of knowledge?

Yes, you can find some general knowledge in books but even then you often find two economists writing the complete opposite stories of the same subject. It is not very well understood and many people consideres "professionals" often understand the markets just as well as a fucking taxi driver lol. They just follow the flock.

Read the way to wealth by Benjamin Franklin. Provides some great insight of how to be frugal. His writings exhibit a lot of general life advice that can make us better people. Whether with money, relationships, and other things.
>>
>>976515
So what's the strategy?

1) Read books
2) ????
3) MONEY

Shit strategy.

Reading to help me develop my strategy?
Was that really so hard to infer?

My current lineup is the Personal MBA (Kaufman), Basic Economics (Sowell), and the Intelligent Investor (Graham).
>>
The Art of War
Mein Kampf
Mao's Little Red Book
Breivik's Manifest
The Quran

These should get you into the right mindset I think

I'm also interested with a goal to make that cash money
I'm interested in textbooks as well

I read More Money Than God, about Soros hearing about Rolls Royce going bankrupt and investing in UK treasuries, knowing the gvmt would probably bail then out - this probably came from seeing bailouts happen during those times
I want to have an understanding of economic mechanisms so I can just watch it and judge themselves

then you need to start looking for people who actually have the knowledge. they are very rare. but there are some big names on the internet under aliases, hard to find giving valuable information.

basically, you will need to have their track record available, otherwise your chances are 99% that you are listening to a bullshitter, (youtube trading scammers etc etc.).

so you will need to make sure that they posted all their trades past 5-10 years on a forums etc. so it is easy to check. 100% annual returns more than likely as long as your capital is under 1m. most of these people wont tell you excactly their trading strategies, they just give their bids and ask, time and price, but you will learn more from them than any public books etc lol

You must've misread the post or something

I just want a plain economic education, I wouldn't need to see how anyone trades

Literally leave your house and go to the public library. They have a finance section. Read everything and it's free.

All these fags that think a plan comes before even knowing how the game works. Probably neets.
>>
Read one philosophy book and learn that 99% of your interest in econ/finance stems from being a narcissistic shallow faggot. Then read "Zero to One", "Bold", and "The Singularity is Near" and put your focus on changing the world
>>
>>977602
>narcissistic
>shallow
I don't think wanting to be financially independent and to insure the future of my family qualifies as that. This kind of guilt tactic stopped working on me a long time ago. Go take your bullshit somewhere else.
>>
>>977629
I think you meant to quote me but when you put it that way, i get it. But 90% of the faggots i see on /biz/ and in school ask the same questions as you from purely a materialistic and superficial standpoint, usually after first watching Wolf of Wallstreet and following Lamborghini's instagram page
>>
>>976466
i can tell you from where you shouldn't start.
From every book that says "the true about markets" "the forbidden book of economy" and that shit
>>
>>977635
I understand. It's just that my family is retarded and I'm very skeptical of any kind of traditional employment.
>>
>>976533
Intelligent Investor has been disavowed by Mr Graham himself.
http://www.bylo.org/bgraham76.html

Thats one of the main problems with /biz/ knowledge. It works until it doesn't and often times it was a historical oddity. The only things that last are the truths about drive, hunger, mathematical superiority and persistence.

I'm not sure where you're starting OP but here's my curated list of beginners programs.

They're all Highly actionable except Poor Charlie's Almanac. Which is important in business, because you learn most by doing.

Maybe I shouldn't ask this, but how can almost any guy score any babe in OP's pic ?

Only good reason to study economics is to avoid being tricked by an economist
You should really consider some other genre to spend your time
If you must go Keynes and don't fall into Chicago school bullshit
>>
>>978250
yep because Keynes economics is the reason why everyone is being crushed by the devaluation of the currency because of Keynesian "aggregate demand" theory.
>>
>>978189
Be rich, workout, meditate to stay based, not care what they think at all.

I don't understand why Branson is such a limp-wristed, left wing faggot. Much of what he says is worthless to those of a /biz/ persuasion.

Man, Economy, and State

Free online through Mises.org, along with plenty of other economic texts.

this is a politics book, not an economics book. Rothbard isn't a serious author unless you cant find any other book that asserts your Thatcherism
