Poker is one of my favorite pasttimes, but now I am living away from poker buddies and the casinos of my hometown, I was wondering is it legal to gamble online with real currency?

I feel like I should have been able to find a simple answer through Google, but there was a lot of sponsored-content type information pages and I couldn't come to a clear answer.

I trust /biz/ opinions, I'll appreciate any information or site recommendations.

>There are a few online poker sites than accept USA players, but if that doesn't mean it's legal.

I appreciate the clarification, that is mainly what was confusing me in my own research.

"SwC Poker is highly secure with 2 factor authentication and the majority of customers bitcoin in cold storage. Playing is fully anonymous and all players are welcome no matter where they are from, as it should be"

it's illegal in the states unless you're in a few states, like nevada, new jersey, etc. you will get caught. if that's your passion, your best bet is to go to thailand and grind.
>>
>>974638
No, the best bet is to use swc.

0% chance for legal repercussions.

i assume you live in the US? playing poker is LEGAL (except for washington), running poker sites isnt. the problem is, while its legal to play on offshore poker sites there may or may not be trouble when youre trying to withdraw money, though acr and bovada are certainly legit. if youre in NJ or NV you could also check out WSOP. obviously, bitcoin poker is always an option, too, personally i dont really trust those sites though, but i may be wrong. im euro though, so its not really a problem ive been concerned with.

Might as well play Cafrino.

It has freerolls every hour, and occasionally $200 freerolls. 100% free, only freeroll poker.

Kind of hard to win though because a lot of players and they sometimes yolo since no real money lost

But it's impossible to cash out.

With bitcoin it's simple, fast and reliable.

Enjoy arbitrary rules with a strong likelihood that your account gets frozen since online poker is illegal in many jurisdictions.

Bitcoin exchanges are not fast or reliable. Probably the unsafest way there is to hold value in our modern world. Bitcoin casinos? Topkek. Don't even get me started...
