Are there actually any weed-based stock companies?

yes many.
There is a Dutch guy, forgot his name at the moment. He used to ship chemicals to Saddam Hussein which were used for the production of chemical weapons (sarin gas, mustard gas, tabun etc )
He was charged with being responsible for war crimes and genocide. He is now in jail in The Hague for 17 years.
Another Dutch used to ship weapons to rebel forces in liberia and sierra leone in return for diamonds and gold. Charged with being responsible for war crimes and genocide. Case dismissed after several years due to a lack of evidence.
