I need help on a school project in which we need to choose whether my group and I should build a Tesla light truck company in either IRreland, China, or the U.S. and wh. So far we got Ireland due to its low cost in producing a plant and its taxes. Any help would be appreciated.

do your own homework, you stupid faggot.

how is that even a question?

china is better in every single way besides quality

so china

The US. Because you're a damn patriot.

What course is this? Is this in uni? Or in HS?

Correct answer is US. Build in hicksville for cheap land, get to actually use profits in this country, and inversions will probably be illegal in the near future.
>>
By the way, I would choose the USA, out of those 3 choices, because Tesla does most of its business in the continental US, logistically, transporting vehicles, especially trucks, is not cheap, and it can be a nightmare. Another thing is, corruption is rampant in China, and Ireland probably has the lowest costs, but are you accounting for the logistics of transporting cars, from a first world country, which will be even more expensive than China?

The answer is USA, here's a neat article for you: http://www.industryweek.com/blog/where-should-you-go-low-cost-manufacturing

Need to know the producer taxes, shipping tariffs, Total factory size, and cost of materials inbound.

This is a fun little puzzle.
Ireland is interesting b/c low taxes and outbound shipping. Materials sourcing is their problem.
China is great on labor, materials, and worst on shipping of the 3
USA best on shipping, material, and worst on workforce, and taxes I think. but I believe auto industry gets cuts, and b/c tesla Green money as well to offset these costs.

the answer in business is always "it depends."

use your judgement

the professor isn't going to say "they didn't choose USA, F- !"

work with your team and come up with coherent justifications for your decisions. nobody here can tell you the 'right' answer.
>>
As the assignment states your manufacturing trucks which require an abundance of land so ireland is off the table and as another said china is too corrupt
>>
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_tax

If you choose a manufacturing facility outside the USA all light trucks you then sell in the USA will be hit with a 25% tariff

Pretty much this, and the fact that the US is better at auto manufacturing. China might be good if it is going to be your major market to avoid import costs. Ireland is fucking retarded. A fucking island that doesn't have the proper ports for shipping vehicles.

>Ireland.

Can't Tesla just expand Fremont?
