I have 20k in cash and i really want to invest with this money, problem is i dont know what to invest in. Im willing to take a risk but i would prefer the safer option, any ideas?

I also have 20k and not much of an idea what to do....
Possibly looking at keeping 8k in cash and splitting the remainder 4 ways in etfs.
Not sure what they would be though, off the top of my head I'd probably pick bull gold, bull energy, bear real estate, bear equities.
Dump it all into ASTI.
It's going to skyrocket any day now.

Well as stated, it seems like you know nothing about building a portfolio or the stock market at all for that matter. I'd recommend going on Vanguard's website and opening an account.
