How old are you? Do you have a credit history? Use your $400 of credit just like you would a debit card; imagine the money immediately deducted from your account, and set up autopay so you never forget to pay your bills.
This will build your credit history over time, open up new credit card offers in the future, and, most importantly, set you up for big purchases like furniture, autos, renting an apartment, or mortgaging a house.
Good luck and buy Trumpcoin.

I just meant in general, not necessarily on credit. Although you /could/ buy on credit.

I'm 20, no history. Thats why i went secured. Thanks for the info brother. I'll just carry on. Sorry to bother you. I know not to use credit on food, unless in a bind, but aside from food i cant think of anything i need. Tools, a floor jack and auto parts...but i can buy those with my cash. A new graphics card (entertainment in general) is more expensive, but i buy chewp on those anyway. Credit is probably more useful for legitimate adults. But i only have to worry about myself (at least for now). I dont spend much and am not very high maintenance...

No need to apologize. And yes, use it on all those small things. Some good credit history is WAY better than none.
As long as it's positive, it's better than having nothing.
