Is anything in the health field that you can achieve with a 2 year degree going to be obsolete soon with the way Medicare is going? For example,
>PTA's
Medicare doesnt want to pay them when they can just have a regular PT do it.
>OTA's
Pretty much the same thing

I dont even know whatelse. But what is recession-proof in the health field? Personal trainer? I just want to be able to do something that has a positive impact on somebody's life that I can pass in school without having to take bullshit hippie courses like general education.

Radiology tech. The pay isn't bad for the work from what I've seen, but the whole job market in general is about to be overflooded with kids who heard about all them boomers and their health.

About to hire someone for accessioning, definitely want someone with an associates, can't fuck that shit up.

what is accessioning?
>n b5 google
what is so special about it, I mean, that you want to hire someone for it?

It's everything, tests come into labs (I'm helping start a new one, maybe look into Pharmacogenetics for an expanding field in healthcare) but often aren't run there. Accessioning is the process of establishing chain of custody and making sure tests get to the right lab, either in or out of house.

This is our money, if we fuck up accessioning we don't get lab results, so we don't get paid.

Conceivably we could hire a Mexican, but having someone who, on down time, could help in the lab or train new hires during expansion, is a huge plus. Really, to have someone who will understand requisitions and why this is important. We could pay a Mexican $8 p/h but this isn't landscaping, each test that isn't done right is hundreds if not thousands of wasted dollars.
