/biz/, I need access to £500 over a month until my first payday, next month. Which method would you guys recommend?
>Take it from my savings at a value loss of £125 (HTB-ISA for those in the UK)
>Open up an overdraft
>Open up a credit card
It's not something I'm going to need to do again after my first paycheck
borrow from a friend/family member
Do the maths matherfacker.
How much will taking 500 from overdraft cost you?
Just make sure it's a prearranged overdraft, otherwise you will end up paying more than a credit card.

Yeah, that's certainly an option - I just don't like asking to borrow money (it's pretty much something I've never had to do before)
I'd rather pay the <£10 overdraft interest for example... But I'm not in the know about how this will affect my credit rating etc

I came here for advice on things you guys would know better than me. Eg.

Why that over an overdraft?

A lot of credit cards have about after a purchase 50 days before they start charging interest. If you only need it this month, it could very well be the best option.
This is assuming it's a standard purchase. Getting 500 out of an ATM will mean instant interest and probably a fee. Also not good if you need this 500 every month.
dont take it out of your H2B ISA
get a credit card and pay the balance when you get paid
simple
Family would be the easiest option.
