Should I actually invest in trumpcoin or is it just a meme?

Invest what you can afford to lose and let meme magic work

Maybe it'll suddenly raise just like Ethereum back in february, who knows. How much are you planning to buy?

the coin is completely ruled by memes. like that is the actual factor which drives it. and so since its a meme it is therefore a good investment

trump coin will increase in price because it spiked not long ago and hasnt showed any signs of death. even when it had pajeet trying to fuck everything up. also theres a new announcement coming soon. yes there is some risk, obviously. but so long as you pick and buy the dip and check your fundamentals you could have a rewarding investment

Latest post from signal - Looking a little tense around here this morning.

Guys, stay with me through today/tomorrow. I have been taking legal steps to protect us all. These things take time. I do have some very wonderful news and updates coming but I cannot release anything until I complete one last very important task today.

We will begin voting this week, among lots more.

Hang in there. Significant updates coming today, tomorrow at the very latest.

I think the dev has a trick up his sleeve with the LLC thing.

He's been real good about not saying anything until its official since he took over.
>>
i think it's quite an interesting development, even if we don't know any of the facts or the implications. crypto is supposed to be decentralised, which i took to mean that there was no central body in charge of it.

i am interested to find out what this means and how it affects those who are going to add utilities to the trumpcoin ecosystem. in the end we all want the coin to succeed. will follow with interest.
>>
>>1374927
I think that while decentralisation is the thing that attracts people to bitcoin, the purpose of this coin is to donate funds to trumps campaign. I don't think that would be possible without a central body representing us and attempting to contact trumps people. Hopefully the coming weeks vote will make things clearer for the future of the coin. I assume signal will be voted in and hopefully he has further plans.
>>
>>1374927

Crypto is decentralized in the sense that its totally anonymous. However, there are technically "governing bodies" of the coins, They are more like caretakers, rather than a governing body. Hell, Bitcoin itself has the Bitcoin Foundation. High profile altcoins like Ethereum, Lisk, Waves etc all have development teams that make decisions for the coin.

Trumpcoin is in a unique position in the sense that there will be a direct donation given to Donald Trump. So, a development team is necessary for this to happen.

So close to Bitbobb
>>
>>1374946
>>1374962
yeah, that makes sense. i knew that there is someone in charge of the blockchains and there are people who can make forks happen. i agree someone has to be in charge of the donation and this move makes it appear all above board.
i think i was just saying that i hope it doesn't mean down the line that the 'board' ,which i think is a good idea, doesn't try to block other groups from also appearing and making their own projects with the coin.

i know there has been no suggestion of this and it is just a hypothetical. it's irrelevant until the announcement is made.

on a side-note, Troutville VA looks pretty comfy.
>>
>>1374623
Holy fucking shit!!!

This is big

>>1374754
This allows the coin to be considered an actual project, not an anonymous project.

This will allow the company to do press releases, conferences, and other media gigs.

This will allow trumpcoin to negotiate with superpacs legally.

This will allow trumpcoin be considered trademarked. And no trump cant sue. If trumpcoin becomes a registered copyright, then that means it's official 100% and approved by the federal government. That should be a goal, but that takes a month or so to get approved along with a $300 appication fee that is nonrefundable even if its denied.

This will allow trumpcoin to be taken seriously by investors.

And finally, this will allow Trumpcoin to go to the Moon!

MAGA

>>
>>1375176

Anything that is a first in Crypto is something to be excited about.

Nothing like this has ever been done before. The only thing close to it is Devcoin.

But we're talking about a crypto donation mainstream political candidate. This is something else. Trumpcoin has the very serious possibility of crossing over into the masses. And this political candidate is one of the most topical, meme'd people ever. It's Donald freaking Trump. The devs just LLC'd so they are legit now. There is no freaking reason to scam people with this coin when they can take it to the endzone for a touchdown on top 10 coinmarketcap.

Combine all of these factors and yeah, it's something to get excited over.
>>

It's extremely speculative investing, BUT

The devs are making solid moves and have even more interest than you in making this thing huge. This coin has tons of potential and now has very, very good management. The safe play is to put it into stocks or gold/silver/whatever precious metals. The speculative play is to put it into a coin with potential, which right now is trump or BTC.

don't invest more than you can afford 9rd to lose senp, but if you wanna throw 100 Inn the ring, monitor it, and if it goes down 15% or w/e never you set you can get out. Like a manual stop loss if you're that worried
>>
>>1375439
>>1375375

Something else you can do is gradually buy it in case it dips. It should be awhile before we see a huge spike again, it could steadily rise or gain or go sideways. If this is your first time investing you might want to just get robinhood and fuck around with stocks, this won't teach you much.

You have time. We are about 3 btc away from 10k. The current developer is just being wary of announcing anything until it is 100% confirmed, for example the LLC.

>>
>>1377203
In your wallet click receive coins and copy this address.

Now go to C-Cex and click ledger, scroll down to TrumpCoins and click Withdrawl. You should be able to put in your Wallet address and then send however many coins you want.

I just checked the site. I can contact them via Skype and buy, which is good since I don't want to buy with BTC. I'm considering buying 2,000 TRUMP, which is ~$100.

But if I buy, how would I sell?
>>
>>1377488
You would sell them on an exchange like yobit or c-cex for bitcoin and then sell bitcoins for fiat.
>>
>>1377479
Also, would it be smart to put ~$100 into Dogecoin too, or is it dead at this point?

What does this mean? Can I not turn BTC into cash? Also, on an exchange like that, would there be guaranteed buyers or would my sell order be sitting around until someone wanted to buy?

Dogecoin is long dead.

>What does this mean?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_money Dollars are fiat.

>would there be guaranteed buyers or would my sell order be sitting around until someone wanted to buy?
https://yobit.net/en/trade/TRUMP/BTC if you check the buy orders on here you'll see for what price various people are wiling to buy trumpcoins right now.
You can sell your coins for that price instantly because there's already someone with a matching buy order.
Alternatively you can make a sell order with a higher price and wait for someone willing to buy it at that price.
Obviously the cheapest coins are sold first so if your offer is not the cheapest on the list you'll wait longer.
>>
>>1377496
Yes, fiat = cash.
There are guaranteed buyers, at certain price points. FOR EXAMPLE: if you try to sell trump for $10 a coin right now, no one will buy it. If you try to sell it for $0.05 a coin, they will buy it, hence the 'buy orders'
>>
As far as I know, and I know far enough, you, guys, will have some bad news this week.
I already made money with Trumpcoin, bought 500$ at 3.5k and sold at 22K.
If I were you I would sell now or lose everything.
>>
>>1377513
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_money
>>1377516
Ah, I understand now. Learned the term fiat today, thanks!

Also, I understand the sell/buy order thing. So let's say TRUMP doubles in value, and I have 1000 shares. I would be able to safely dump at that current value, yes?

Also, if Trump doesn't make the presidency, won't TRUMP most likely go the way of the Dogecoin?
>>
>>1377524
Dump at the doubled value? Yes.Or you could always set it at an even higher value, assuming it keeps rising. So instead of fulfilling a "buy order" you make a "sell order"

It's difficult to say about the long long term future, again, there will be developments coming within the next few days. The coin could always be used to fund other projects, by refilling the trump fund.

If you tried to sell 1000 trumpcoins right now you'd have to dig your way to 7710 until you could sell all of them.

>>
>>1377533
I see. I'll think about buying 1000 shares, since $100 isn't too bad, but how much is the percentage the sale site shaves off the top? Given that it's such a low value coin at this point, and that there is no foreseeable huge change, it might be more of a headache than anything.
>>1377535
Damn. That's a lot of people trying to GTFO Trumpcoin. Elections are only a few months off so we'll see. I think I'll put $100 in. Fuck it.
>>
>>1377546
Yobit takes 0.2% per trade.
>>
>>1377546

yobit takes .2% which isn't bad at all.

The buy and sell orders fluctuate pretty quickly though. Can go from 7700 to 8900 pretty fast.

I got 1000 trumpcoins at 7500 which isn't too bad. Very minimal investment and it could be a nice return. Won't be bummed if it doesn't though.

That's not too bad. $200 trade I'd only lose $4. Honestly though at such small values you'd really have to dump a ton of money in to make a good amount off it.

If waking up to trumpcoin being worth nothing might cause you issues then I'd advise you not to invest.
>>
>>1377573
I highly doubt Ken McKay knows or gives a shit about TrumpCoin. It is still very low profile.

However, TrumpCoin LLC possibly infringes the trademark on Trump. Though not necessarily, because I don't think there are any other Trump crypocurrency companies.

What I envision happening is the anti-TrumpCoin trolls keep messaging Trump's people warning them about this "scam" which will cause a bad first impression. Then it would be on the Dev team to make a good impression on them.
>>
>>1377598
My money is doing nothing just sitting in the bank, though. I make a little per month, ~$300 now that I'm taking summer courses, and I'd like to make some financial gainz.

If TRUMP is a bad choice, which is better?
>>
>>1377604
You can't have gainz without risk, and TrumpCoin always has a risk of just completely failing. It's currently value right now represents the faith we have in the developers to make this work.
>>
>>1377604
It's all a gamble but I personally believe that trumpcoin is the safest short term gamble right now.

As I already mentioned, I think the greatest risk is an official statement about trumpcoin because I don't believe that it will be positive.
>>
>>1377594
Ha! My first thought was that Siege has come here because he would get deleted on bitcointalk
>>
>>1377604
Obviously don't invest something you can't afford to lose. I'm in the same boat as you bro, except mine is more of a risk it all to make at least some vs continue having very little.
You could also check out Robinhood. It's a free stock trading app, but you'd honestly be in the same boat as you are with cryptos. You gotta put in the time doing research if you want to be even moderately secure in your financial decisions.
>>

I just said what I heard. A few people are spamming some of the staff members with emails about it. He said that people that would donate to Trump's campaing are gambling with their money and in the end Trump might not get one cent from it and the whole trumpcoin marketing is leading them to a mistake. Nothing about trademark at the moment.
>>
>>1377617
I don't follow the bitcointalk since I sold my coins, I don't know who is Siege and I was just trying to help. I made money following biz threads and I'm just helping.

Ironically, they don't realize that by doing this they ensure all those who got TrumpCoins already will lose their money. If McKay is smart he will realize this as well.

>>
>>1377636
I don't think anyone that wants trumpcoin to succeed is doing any spamming right now. Chicken has calmed down with his posting, signal seems to be working on some stuff in the background (LLC + hinting at website purchases on trumpcoin in the bitcointalk thread) and bitbobb is just doing his thing. The person that could be spamming them is the dude with a twitter account (maybe siege) that still strongly believes the coin is a scam.
>>
>>1377608
>>1377611
I'm considering it. I just don't get how the devs make money to give to trump when everyone is just buying and selling their cryptocurrency. The only way is to keep pumping out Trumpcoins and that only devalues them.
Also there's this whole announcement thing. I think I'll wait until I hear about that.

>>1377618
Yeah, I've seen many Robinhood threads but I wouldn't even know where to get started there. I'd need to make an account and then put money in Robinhood and then learn how to make trades and then research which stock to go for, etc.
Probably a safer gamble than Trumpcoin, though.
>>

I have a close friend that is working with him for the RNC.

There are 200k trumpcoins dedicated to give to trump. As people buy, want, more coins the price goes up. as the price reches $1, $5, $20, those 200k coins are worth quite a bit. There are only 6.5mil trumps, now and forever.
>>
>>1377675
Ah, I understand now. So eventually those 200k will be given to trump at their current (high-aimed) value. But election is only in 3 months, how much can they grow? And what will happen after the election?
I personally believe the election is rigged and Shillary will "win", so where will that leave Trumpcoin?

Personally, I put in $200 out of my $400 dollars in my bank account. It shot up to literally 6x the price and I could have cashed out with $1,200. Every investment is going to have risk, the trick is calculating this risk and just dealing with money multiplying as stepping stones.
Sadly we're never going to make 100% weekly gains every week of the year lol. I treat it as me paying for a learning experience. The more you invest the more you care, and ideally, learn lol.
>>
>>1377674

>>
>>1377679
oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiit
>>1377681
Yeah, very true about the more you invest, the more you care. I'm pretty broke so even $200 for me would make me care a hell of a lot, haha, especially since I'm trying to do Workaway in Europe/Asia next summer and the round trip ticket will probably cost $1200-ish, not to mention travel costs once I'm there.

That's why I'm trying to bolster my bank account. I could work odd jobs, I'll check craigslist for those, and I suppose I could put it all on a credit card and then just make the minimum payment, but it's tough to figure out what the BEST choice is, especially since this Trumpcoin thing looks so enticing.
>>
>>1377678
It's a lot of speculation right now. People have been comparing it to the $20 or so Ron Paul coin. Some people say $4, some say it will surpass RonPaul. Like I mentioned earlier, the 200k fund could be refilled again for other donations.

Honestly just keep doing what you're doing, ask questions, do research.

You'll definitely see trump threads for quite some time, but heres the current Bitcoin talk theread:

Last thing: someone said Dogecoin is due for a pump, and that it's accumulating right now. True, or not true? I might put $100 there too if that's the case.
>>
>>1377712
Yeah higher buy order. For once a large buy order wasn't all over the place, he was just collecting trumps
>>
>>1377712
I don't know if that's you asking Qs in the CCG thread lol, but I personally have not been following doge. Maybe I will now.
In the crypto world, something is always being pumped and dumped. Sometimes you can get lucky and catch a pump and profit off of it. It's difficult to work with, it's just, obviously, higher risk than waiting a little longer to profit.
I can't really answer your Q here, but like I said earlier if you want to put in $5 into doge and learn something from trying to ride a pump, go for it. You can look on CCex, Yobit, or Poloniex to see the volume. If there are big spikes of volume like 10btc for example, but not real rise in price, then people could indeed be stocking up. I'm not sure how much you'd need to create a efficient pump, though. Good luck lol
>>
>>1377738
Haha yeah that is me in the CCG thread.

Ok, fair enough. I'll probably put $100 into Trumpcoin and $25 into Dogecoin.

Was trying to pull up the Trump folks on Skype mobile, but putting in the "trumpcoined_1" in search doesn't bring anything up. May just be shitty service though.

And thanks, good luck to you too!
