Anyone mine eth? Ive mined 0.01 eth in about 6 days straight with 2 computers. They are both very shitty
>>1372370
how hard is it to mine eth? does it work on the same blockchain as btc? what is the reward currently at? ive never actually looked into the mining of other digital currencies
>>1372376
Just downloaded minergate and pressed mine, easy as fuck, though probly way shittier and slower then doing it the manual way
>>1372381
Jeez, I have an r9 290 and I got like one eth/day.
I followed a tut uploaded a month ago here though, where I installed a miner and connected to a pool.
It was some time ago but what you're getting is still very very low I think.
>>1372383
oh shit yea i knew i should be in a pool, can you post what you followed?
>>1372384
I can't post the link cuz I'm lazy and on my phone but it's called "how to mine ethereum on a mining pool" and it's one video so you should be able to find it easily.
It's the vid where he installs geth (the actual miner), then types some fancy code (makes the miner use the gpu, and deposit it in the pool).
>>1372395
cool, thanks senpai
>>1372402
What eth rate are you getting?
>>1372421
Havent set it up yet, bookmarked for tomoro , my card is shit though, gonna try and get a good deal on 1 or 2 locally somewhere hopefully
>>1372421
also , im pretty noob and wondering, do you know if it becomes harder to mine as the price goes up respectievly?
>>1372426
No. It becomes harder to mine, the more is mined.
Harder to Mine -> higher price
but there is no inherent connection between price and mining difficulty.
Also, what cards do you have?
>>1372383
>r9 290
>one eth/day
And how long ago was this?
I have a R9 390X 8G and mine a maximum of 0.23 ETH on a very good day. Most days it's around 0.21.
>>1372500
a month or two

Is that pic from some shitty porno? I'm pretty sure TSA workers can't legally give you a pat-down if you're of the opposite gender, and are also required to wear gloves when doing so.
>>1372563
Also, why do the women behind the scanner look like skeletor women from 'they live'?
At any rate, I'd like to mine her eth, if you know what I mean, wink wink.
>>1372626
The same or a little less. AMD gpus are faster for mining.
Compare Tfops when comparing cards for mining.

Just use the best mining program, literally automines the most profitable coins, I've already made quite a bit
>>1372724
Depends, probably not with a 970, it might with an r9 390x though.
unless you post your electricity bill, your gpu, your living area, noone can answer that question.
>>1372775
i can't post my electricity bill but i'm from Bulgaria. i think we have one of the cheapest electricity costs in the EU, comparable with China. something like 0.09 cents/kwh.
my gpu is GTX 970. from what i could find, it can provide a hashrate of 17.9 MH/s. i read some comments on a youtube video tho where some dude said he overclocked his gtx970 w/o issues and got up to 46 MH/s, which seems like bullshit to me?
>>1372878
0.09 cents/kWh is really, really cheap. Not saying you're wrong, but I pay 24cents/kWh.
>live in a flat where I don't pay electricity
>have a new computer with a 390
time to let it mine while I'm at work I guess
I can make 7 cents a day with Minergate. Hooray. Why do people do this? Just wondering.
ETH is a mess but I like op picture
I just joined an ether mining pool on ethermine.org and am currently mining from the command prompt on windows.
The thing is, how do I view how much ether I have? Is there some kind of wallet I can see? I wanna send some of this ether to yobit or kraken and trade with it.
Someone please respond.
